Freedom Park and Freedom Walks
Tonya Hinton’s Civic Literacy students at Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies worked with the team behind North Carolina Freedom Park to create an app and a website called Freedom Walks. We worked with students, teachers, instructional coaches, and community partners to create this short documentary film about the project and NC Freedom Park.
Buncome Country Early College
Buncombe County Early College wanted to be able to communicate the core skills that every BCEC student masters upon graduation, along with the core elements of the schools’ responsive learning community. Starting with a sketch from Principal Donna Lanahan, we worked with the school community through a design process that featured discussion, feedback, and iterations. The end result is a one-pager that the school now uses to communicate its value and unique approach to current and future families, students, and community partners.
