Who can participate? Is it free?

The Flatten the Curve Student Challenge is free and open to students of any age. For that matter, we think it would be fun for adults, too! We suggest participating in the challenge with a team of 2 – 5.

I’m a teacher or parent interested in using this challenge with my students or children. What supports or resources do you have?

The Flatten the Curve Student Challenge was designed for student, teachers, and parents. We know that teachers, in particular, might be interested in teaching math, science, social studies, English, or other subjects through this challenge. Check out this folder for some curricular connections

We are ready, willing, and able to provide coaching, resources, and Zoom chats for teachers and parents. Please email us at coach@constructivelearningdesign.org with any questions or requests.

How does the challenge work? How long will it take?

The challenge is designed as a self-paced experience for teams of 2 – 5. However, we will be facilitating optional check-ins. You’ll see how that works once you’re inside the challenge manager.

We estimate that the challenge will take 3 – 5 weeks to complete. We will be sharing opportunities and dates for collaboration, support, and sharing your work on this page.

Feel free to use and modify the framework as you see fit. Below you will see an infographic that provides an overview of the challenge, and a copy of the Challenge Manager slides for a more detailed description of the challenge.
